Ticket sales, answering phones, planning the campsite map & organizing campers information, Sorted festival wristbands and volunteer clothing, typed out discographies, artist biographies, sponsors information, volunteer names, non-profit booth profiles, food vendor profiles, and festival stories in the festival program, Obtained rider information etc. from performing artists, organized and sorted donated food, supervised merchandise store and beer gardens, programmed ticket printing system & beer garden cash machines, artist liaison, and other general office duties for the 2009 Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Festival.

Volunteering in my community has enabled me with many skills including leadership qualities, problem-solving, working with people, organization, and creative thinking. I believe volunteering in my community is important because it enables me to give back to a thriving and collective society. Some organizations I have volunteered with include: Relay for Life, Slow Food Edmonton, Music is a Weapon, Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Festival.

Grant MacEwan University September 2010- June 2011 Currently enrolled in the Arts & Cultural Management Program at Grant MacEwan University. Planning on obtaining a diploma in Arts & Cultural Management by 2013.

Alberta Music Industry Association- Program Assistant

May 2011- July 2011

This was a 280-hour field placement (practicum) as part of the Arts & Cultural Management curriculum. Duties included updating the Music Industry Directory, Compiling venue data for Canadian Music Industry App, Committee work, Grant evaluation juries, front desk reception, Program development, managing workshops/seminars, and attending various meetings. Grant MacEwan University September 2008- May 2010 Received a Diploma in Music (Comprehensive Major). Received the MacEwan Student Access Bursary, the CFRN CTV Television Inc. Bursary, and the Astral Media Radio GP Scholarship in my first year of Music at Grant MacEwan University. Salmon Arm Secondary Graduated June 2007 Obtained high school diploma. Graduated with a B+ GPA. Received Merit List and Effort list, & Passport to Education (top 30% in academics in the school).

Knowledgeable in Public Relations, Arts & Cultural Management. Strong knowledge of the music industry: Music technology, theory, arranging, composition, songwriting, and vocal instruction. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong management and supervision skills. High level of accuracy and detail oriented. Ability to train large groups of volunteers Good organizational skills and planning skills, specializing in event planning. Excellent ability to understand and follow a set of procedures. Capable of organizing projects from initiation through completion; troubleshooting and resolving problems. Able to deal with daily expenses, cost projections, and show settlements. Computer skills on both Macintosh & Windows (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite 5, Website Management, Email, spreadsheets etc.), with successful completion of a Computer Applications course. Passed Worksafe and Foodsafe examinations as well as Serving It Right.
