Clinical Course: ‘+ Afier given intensive medical care, she was then medically cleared by the attending physician on May 4, 2011 to go to Yale Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital ‘+ On Saturday, May 7, 2011, I was told that RM attempted to wrap an oxygen fine around her neck in a fourth suicide attempt in three months. © From the timc SIMI regained consciousness, YNH had a sitter in the room with her 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Problems and Concems: + Since her medical clearanee, Yale Psychiatric claims to have no inpatient bed available + Despite repeated requests by the attending physician and myself to appropriate YNH officials, nothing has been done to give MJB the psychiatric care and treatment that she very much needs and deserves. ‘+ No one at YNH or Yale Psychiatric has thought outside the box and tried to place fib in another inpatient facility other than Yale Psychiatric Hospital ask that you please investigate and notify the appropriate Connecticut State agencies so they can look both atthe cost of maintaining a patient in a non-necessary medical bed with a round the clock sitter to watch rer while filing to seek a suitable inpatient psychiatic bed.
