• Construct sentences showing cause and effect

Drawings

III. Lesson Proper:

A. Preliminary Activities:
1. Greetings and Prayer
2. Checking of Attendance
3. Review about previous lesson

B. Motivation:
Ask the students to show their snakes and ladders.
Do all of you have experienced playing snakes and ladders?
What does snake symbolizes? How about the ladder?

C. Learning Tasks:
Task 1: Define Cause and Effect

Cause- is the reason Effect-is what

something happens happens as a result.

Task2: Ask the students to construct sentences using some patterns in

constructing Cause and Effect.

Task 3: Group Activity:

 Based on the drawing, make a flow chart showing the cause and
effect relationship.

D. Generalization:
What is a Cause? What is an Effect?

E. Evaluation:
Before each number, write C if the underlined part is a cause, and
write E if it is an effect.
