Parashara's Light 6.1 comes with highly enhanced chart management features. Now
you can categorise your charts in different groups and keep them more organised.
You can also copy, move and remove charts from a group just by the click of a

Changes in version 2.5

1. The Panchang and Entries/Exits features have had their data extended, in other
words, they now run for well into the future. The Panchang has been increased up to
2035, and the Entries/Exits data has been increased up to the year 2020.

2. The installers have been updated to sense your operating system, so there is no
more "checking which version of Windows you have" and on the Mac, it now installs
a version which is OSX ready, even though it still runs in Classic mode, at least it
doesn't need the "Patch" that version 2.26 needed. Both now have uninstallers. In
both cases, Windows and Macintosh, the installation is more smooth and easy. In
both cases, the installer now places an icon on your desktop automatically, which
was sorely needed. In both cases, your old datafile is not over-written, so you can
export and import your data later if need be. You don't have to worry about losing
your data during this installation.

3. The KP chart printouts now respond to your glyph or letter settings correctly, and
the KP horary system now works better.

4. The windows bug which created a box covering part of the chart has been
removed.

5. The bug that caused the graphs to sometimes dissapear has been fixed.

But in spite of all these considerations, it remains to some degree a matter of

personal opinion whether a particular Muhurta is considered auspicious or not by a
particular Astrologer. Shri Muhurta helps you to find the best time and date by
finding an optimum amongst those factors, but it cannot guarantee that there is no
better option to match a particular astrologer's knowledge. Another point to realize
is that the Muhurtas are designed to support the general significance of the
particular activity. A particular individual may have a different perspective on that
event, and must take the responsibility of judging whether that Muhurta really
applies on his case. Especially the auspiciousness of the unique configuration in the
chart is very subjective. Shri Muhurta makes a judgment by using standard rules for
affliction and beneficial support, but does not analyze the chart to match the
intentions of the activity. For example in a Muhurta done for marriage, the lord of
the 1st house may be in the 3rd. This is generally not a bad place, but someone
may object to the individualistic nature of the 3rd house, and prefer a house
placement that is more family oriented. If marriage is for the purpose of getting
rich, the 2nd or 11th house may be highly preferred. The software allows the user to
easily compare alternative options, and select the one that suits him best. It is in
this process that the user ultimately chooses his destiny.
