Problem -

Satellite networks were newly picking up in India.
The cost of fax and telephone calls were
comparatively high.
IIT, Bombay had a satellite network established
for transmission of its lectures to remote centers
± part of distance learning program
Applications of fax over asymmetric Satellite

A solution to bridge the gap between Facsimile
and Satellite transmission mechanism. We
developed the solution so that existing
infrastructure can be used to transfer notes,
notices, materials at no extra cost. An effort to
demonstrate the possibility of convergence of
computing with communications domain,We can
utilize existing infrastructure and thus save a lot
of money.
