Michael Corbin, a career Senior Foreign
PRICE: $ Service Officer is the Deputy Assistant
Secretary of State in the Bureau of Near
Eastern Affairs for Iraq issues. He assumed
this position on July 27, 2009. Prior to this
assignment, Mr. Corbin served as Minister-
Counselor for Political-Military Affairs at
Embassy Baghdad, from September 2008.
He was previously assigned as Charge

June 2006 after serving as the Deputy Director of the State

Section at the U.S. Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela from 1997 to

OR Kuwait from 1987 to 1989. His first tour after joining the State
