 There is a whole set of irregular preterite
verbs.
 These verbs have NO ACCENTS!
 The endings for irregular preterite verbs
are:
 e, iste, o, imos, isteis, ieron

Basement Verbs
 Basement Verbs are verbs that only change in the 3rd person preterite
tense. Many times basement verbs are stem changers in present tense.
Their basement chage in preterite may be different from their stem
change in the preterite.
 THIS DOES NOT MEAN ALL STEM CHANGERS FROM PRESENT TENSE
CHANGE IN PRETERITE.
 
Verb English present preterite(3rd only)
 Divertirse to enjoy oneself e-ie e-I
 Vestirseto dress oneself e-Ie-I
 Pedir to ask e-Ie-i
 Preferir to prefer e-ie e-i
 Repetir to repeat e-Ie-i
 Dormir to sleep o-ue o-u
Other Random Irregulars
Sometimes, when verbs will have 3 vowels in a row in the preterite, they change a vowel to a “y” in the ending.
