I would feel somewhat responsible as a business owner to ensure that the

local customs and cultures are encouraged as much as possible. I would
encourage outreach programs in the community where the employees are
encouraged to work on community projects. This would help them
connect with the local cultures on a regular basis.

2. I don’t think that Globalization is the cause of increased crime and

divorce. I think this is a trend towards a more enlightened society as a
whole. People in developing countries are becoming more educated and
independent in their own cultures and because of this they are more
aware of the existence of drugs and are more tempted to use, this would
also bring about the increase of crime. Divorce may be increased also as a
result of people becoming more aware of their choices in life.

3. I think that discussions on multi-country Asian values can certainly take

place. The discussion should focus on their similarities rather than their
differences. The cultures are all very traditional and have the family and
the community at the heart of all of them so it should focus on those
things as a group theme.

4. I disagree, I think it is the responsibility of the companies hoping to do

business in Asian countries to be mindful of the cultures that already exist
and adapt their capitalist practices to encompass as much of the local
culture as possible.
