known as Bethel, about 3 hours north of New York City. 2 weeks prior to this Friday afternoon a small committee of members proposed that Max let them borrow his 600- acre farm for a relatively small Music and Art festival, at which 50,000 people were supposed to attend. Mr. Yasgur agreed due the compensation he was receiving not knowing that in 2 weeks there would be over half a million people showing up to see the largest concert that has ever been held.
