As surface profiles can be known to be aerophilic and aerophobic, it is possible to manipulate the

aerodynamic profile of a surface on a miniature level. Dimpling of a surface may even be considered a
grossly large manipulation. It should be possible to set up vortices on a microscopic level such that
airflow can be predictably managed positively or negatively. With this known, introduction of micro-
particles can be introduced into or onto what would otherwise be relatively smooth surfaces to direct
airflow.
