Welcome to the world of english, now we are going to try to
explain to yours the topic of second conditional.....Let's start

Hey one question, do you know what is the second conditional?

Tan tan tan tan…..

Hey,, I know….

Ohhh….
And the second conditional is….

• It is when the condition is improvable that is realized though not

impossible..

• But I can’t undesrstand you.. I need that you explain me with examples

• For example:
• --- If I ate more, I would be very fat.
• ---If I worked harder, I would pass the
• exam.
And the structure of the
second conditional is…

The second conditional sentence consists of two clauses, an “If”

clause and a main clause.
If clause = if + subject + simple past verb
Main Clause= Subject + Would + Verb
Say us more about of the second
conditional one, please

• Well, the second conditional can be used to talk about

imaginary present situations, where we are imagining
something different from what is really the case.
• We can also use it to talk about things in the future
that are likely to happen, as the condition is unlikely
to be met. We use the past tense in the condition part
and would for the result.
ahhhh!!
more examples please
• For example:
• If i had the time, I would learn Italian
• If i won the lottery, I would travel around the world.
• If i had more time, I might learn Spanish.
• If i had more time, I should learn some more about
foreign languages.
Listen all the people, I know right now
the topic, Second Conditional, yeah.
