Cabin Air Filter

Filter may become separated from housing during shipment. Make sure filter is seated in
A housing as shown.

 1 Remove passenger and driver’s side windshield wipers.

2 Remove and discard (5) scrivets from passenger’s side of leaf guard.

 3 Remove (2) push pin fasteners from screen.

4 Remove and discard (4) scrivets from driver’s side of leaf guard.

5 Remove leaf guard and screen.

 Remove (2) bolts from passenger’s side of crosscar beam. Lift up hood lamp switch
6 bracket. Disengage electrical connection.

Remove (2) bolts and (1) rubber mucket from driver’s side of crosscar beam. Remove
7 crosscar beam.

 Position hood lamp switch bracket and
evaparater solenoid away from plenum Remove (2) scrivets that attach insulator
8 housing. 9 to plenum housing.

Disengage electrical connector

10 Remove 3-4 plenum housing mounting nuts. 11 from bottom of plenum housing.

12 Remove and discard plenum housing. 13 Re-install (1) mounting nut as shown.

14 Twist off mounting stud as shown. 15 Clean mounting surface.

Push in on mesh screen while installing

Pull back on insulator and install new the filter housing to prevent damage from
16 filter/housing. the bulkhead metal tabs.

Engage electrical connection to

17 bottom of housing. 18 Install (2) new scrivets as shown.

19 Install (2) mounting nuts.

Re-install crosscar beam. Make sure bracket on the beam engages the wiper motor’s
20 lower rubber mounting grommet.

Position hood lamp switch bracket

and evaporator solenoid back into Re-install (2) bolts. Re-engage electrical
21 place. 22 connection.

23 Re-install (2) bolts and (1) rubber mucket. 24 Re-install leaf guard and screen.

Install (4) large scrivets and (1) small

25 scrivet. Re-install (2) push pins. 26 Install (3) large scrivets and (1) small scrivet.

27 Re-install windshield wipers.
