INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION FOR ’SAFE’ VERSION 1.

41 FOR SONY ERICSSON P800

To install ’Safe’ on your P800, follow the normal installation procedure:

1. Save the ’Safe.SIS’ file in a known directory on your PC.
2. In Windows click ’Start->Programs->Sony Ericsson->P800->Install Software’ to start the the P800
Comms Suite installation program.
3. Select installation file by browsing to the directory in which you saved ’Safe.SIS’ and click on the file
(’Safe.SIS’) and click ’Open’. The file is now copied/transferred to your P800.
4. A message "The vendor’s identity cannot be guaranteed. Install at your own risk" is shown. Select ’In-
stall anyway’ if you accept.
5. The name of the application and its version number is shown. Click ’Next’ to proceed.
6. Select language and click ’Next’.
7. Read the license terms and click ’Yes’ if you accept the terms, ’No’ otherwise.
8. Select your preferred login view, see figure 1 below (choose between “Original”, “Digital”, “Fishy”,
“Happy”, “Model”, “Determined”). Note that the installer program checks all check boxes by default.
You have to uncheck all of them except the one representing your choice! Click 'Next'.

9. The program is now installed and you are asked if you want to install another program. Click 'Finish'.
10. You should now be able to find the application in the P800 application launcher. To view the appli-
cation icon and name properly in the launcher, you may have to select 'View as list' or 'View as icons' in
the launcher's 'View' menu. Tap on the icon representing 'Safe' to run the application. A welcome mes-
sage is presented the first time the application is run. Press 'Continue' to start using the application.

CHANGES COMPARED TO VERSION 1.40

1. In version 1.40, if a “Note” type of entry was edited data was lost under certain circumstances. This
problem has been corrected in version 1.41.
