Rubric for Discussion

The Primary Source Readings will be discussed on Monday, Sept 27

All students should print out the readings, take notes and highlight passages of
importance.

Rules: During discussion, all students should do the following:

•Wait patiently for a pause in which to speak


•Be attentive when others are speaking
•Ask questions to prompt and clarify information from others
•Refrain from talking, making noise or any activity which distracts from the task
•Use notes and prepared information from the reading to discuss
•Use only polite and academically appropriate language

Talking or engaging in distracting behavior following one warning will result in a grade of
zero.
