tense to show habitual action.

• Is used to express general truth.


Ex: Mindanao is the biggest island in the
Philippines.
Air occupies space.

• In the present tense, the verb ends with an s or


es if the subject of the verb is singular.
Ex: Mother cuddles her baby.
The cat catches the mouse

• The verb does not have the suffix –s or –es if


the subject is I or you.
