Summary
• General Objective: To understand food systems and nutrition in
Guede Chantier in order to improve the nutrition, and therefore
health, of its citizens.
• Goals and Activities:
• Interview farmers in order to understand food systems. Take 24-
Hour Recall Surveys to understand the diets of children. Take Food
Frequency Surveys to understand the diets of different families.
• Analyze data
• Suggest solutions in order to optimize the nutritional status and
food systems of the people of Guede.

insecure.
• Main Problem 2: The people of Guede do not
have a nutritious diet.
• Main Problem 3: The nutrition of children in
Guede needs to be improved.

• Political decisions should be taken about the
way prices are fixed
• People should be conscious about the way
their food systems is going
• It is necessary to have banks where they can
take loans without the condition of doing
conventional agriculture
