Dear Dr Beech
‘Thank you for your patience and understanding while we conducted our investigation
relating to your journey on the 6 July.
‘We have had a full report from the train manager. While | appreciate that you felt that the
situation was not handled in @ positive way we believe the train manager was correct to
confiscate your raileard
We cannot consider this to be a valid raileard as your railcard appears not to be signed, nor
are there any printed details clearly visible on the railcard,
The train manager was also correct to ask you pay for another ticket, however as you were
unable to do this, an unpaid tares notice was issued. | have enclosed a copy of your railcard
which you can forward to IRCAS. Please note that we are unable to offer any further
assistance with regards to your unpaid fares notice, this should be addressed with IRCAS
Who are the independent arbitrators
Thank you once again for taking the time to get in touch,
Yours sincerely
