STUDENT EXPECTATIONS AND POLICY CONTRACT

Parents/students: Carefully review student contract and expectations, along with an attached
calendar. Sign and date that each of you understands fully the commitment to this production you are
making. Keep the schedule for your personal reference. Every effort will be made to conduct classes
in a manner that is respectful of everyone’s time and school schedules.

STUDENTS must understand we are all an ensemble and are affected by anyone’s absence.

STUDENTS if you are going to be absent please get a message to the director.

STUDENTS must come to rehearsal on time (6:00 – 8:00pm), and Performance Dates TBD.

STUDENTS are expected to behave in a respectful manner at all times. Repeated behavioral issues
may result in dismissal from the production or class.

Act Your Best Stage Productions was created to provide quality arts training, extra-curricular activities
and positive personal experiences that will allow each participant to learn and grow within a fun and
nurturing environment. We strive to create an atmosphere that ensures the safety, well-being,
happiness and productivity of each member of our community. It is essential to each student’s
success that they have chosen to come to Act Your Best Stage Productions and are committed to
getting the most out of this opportunity. We ask that parents and guardians review the following
behavior expectations with your child to insure an understanding and willingness to abide by this
agreement.

Students agree...

1. to participate in classes and activities with energy, focus and a positive attitude.
2. to participate in all activities with safety and moderation in mind. You understand that every
precaution for your health and safety will be taken. In the event of illness or injury, your
parent(s) or guardian(s) will be responsible for any medical expenses that are necessary for
your care.
3. to focus on inclusive relationships. You realize that cliques are a distraction that often result in
hurt feelings and take away from the atmosphere of the classes. You are aware that
inappropriate physical contact is not allowed. Violation may lead to dismissal from the classes
permanently without the refund of fees.
4. to dress and behave with moderation at all times. You understand that you will be asked to
leave a class or activity for inappropriate clothing or behavior including: foul language, bare
bellies and visible boxers or underwear.
5. to act with respect, courtesy and consideration toward all members of the production
community. You understand that acts of violence, real or threatened, bullying, harassment or
intimidation of any member of the production community will not be tolerated and may result in
permanent dismissal with no refund of fees.
6. to be respectful of school property and the property of others. You understand that vandalism
against and theft of property and possessions of the school or other students will not be
tolerated and will result in immediate and permanent dismissal with no refund of fees. .
7. to give permission to Act Your Best Stage Productions to use photographs, video, or other
representations of you or of your work for promotional, documentation, entertainment or
educational purposes.
