Accident and Emergency Plan
MAJOR ACCIDENT
1- IDENTIFY the situation clearly
2- ASK for Help
3- SHUT DOWN all operation
process
4- CALL Health, Saftey & Security
and ask for ambulance –
EXPLAIN your location very
clearly.
5- Contact Safety Officer and
Project Manager
6- BE SURE to check if the injured
person is conscious or not by
shaking his shoulders.
7- MOVE injured person away
from danger to a safe place.
8- If he is unconscious, provide
the necessary FIRST AID/CPR if
you are an AUTHORIZED
person only.
9- DO NOT LEAVE the injured
person or the Accident location
before the Ambulance has
arrived.
10- REPORT to ambulance
staff a clear summary of the
incident.
MINOR ACCIDENT
1- IDENTIFY the situation clearly
2- ASK for help
3- SHUT DOWN all operation
process that caused the
accident.
4- ASK for ambulance only if it is
necessary by calling Health,
Safety & Security & explain the
location very clearly.
5- MOVE the injured person to a
safe place.
6- PROVIDE the necessary first
aid/CPR if you are an
AUTHORISED FIRST AID/CPR
PROVIDER; if you are not an
authorized CPR provider, don’t
do it.
7- TAKE the injured person to the
nearest medical point.
8- REPORT to your direct line
manager & to the safety officer
about the situation clearly.

FIND Fire must first be located

1. Know its size

2. Know its correct location
3. Know the combustibles involved

INFORM Call 999 immediatley

1. Call 999 if necessary and explain fire

location clearly
2. Inform person in charge
3. Inform your colleagues

RESTRICT The fire must be confined to the

smallest possible area by:
1. Closing doors & windows
2. Shutting ventilators & switching off
ceiling fans
3. Isolate electrical circuits
4. Isolate any fuel suppliers
5. Leave all your possessions & valuables
6. Go to the fire evacuation location
7. DO NOT RUN
EXTINGUISH IF YOU ARE AN AUTHORISED
PERSON ONLY, use correct choice of extinguishers for
particular situation & overcome the fire as rapidly as possible.
