PLAN FOR PRE-K

Rules for the Classroom


Students will respect their friends and teachers:
Be kind and use listening ears!

Be safe while playing and learning!

Clip System
Students will each receive a clothespin with their name on it at the beginning of the
year.
All clips will be placed on the rainbow ribbon next to the attendance chart.
Clips will begin on green everyday and will either remain on green or be moved up
(to purple) or down (to yellow and then red) depending on behavior.
Students clips and rewards/consequences will be recorded at the end of each day
on the documentation chart.

Rewards
Preferred Activity Time (Individual):
Examples: Lunch with teacher, extra time at centers, free
computer time, etc.
Student must earn 5 clip-ups to purple.

Preferred Activity Time (Group):


Examples: Theme days (silly hats, pajamas, etc.), reading party,
extra recess.
Class must receive 20 clip-ups to purple (students can donate
their purple clip-ups to Group PAT.)

Consequences
First time: Warning.
Second time: Clip down to yellow Loss of a privilege.
Example: Computer time, recess

Third time: Clip down to red Visit the principal and letter to
parents.
Fourth time: Parent/teacher conference.
