In this paper, the client system identified was homeless living on the streets in an urban
environment. The characteristics of the urban environment and the client systems can be
described as low-income and poverty stricken community. The other components identified in
the paper was the way I engaged with the client systems, evaluation of the client system, and the
skills I needed to work on while in field placement and while working with clients. The
experiences in field placement contributed to my knowledge of ethical, social work practice by
giving me the hands-on opportunity to put into practice what I learned from the code of ethics.
