Purchase Four Apex Broadcasting Stations


Florida Purchase Expands Community Broadcasters Radio Group Holdings in Key Markets
(June 21, 2016 Watertown, NY): Community Broadcasters LLC has purchased four signals from Apex
Broadcasting, Inc. in the Destin/Fort Walton Beach, Florida market and has filed for transfer of the licenses
pending approval from the FCC as of today.
With the acquisition of these signals from Apex Broadcasting, were continuing our national expansion to key
markets with strong community ties, says Leven. Our goal is to fill in strategic markets with additional
signals, furthering our vision of growing a small-market radio group throughout the U.S. adds Mittman.
We look forward to Community Broadcasting continuing the excellent products and locally focused work
Apex has put in place over the last few years. This is a great area and we know Jim and Bruce will be important

Community Broadcasters LLC headquartered in Watertown, NY and in partnership with Northwood Ventures,
currently owns and operates 16 signals in upstate New York, 16 radio stations, 7 translators and 3 TV
construction permits in South Carolina. The Apex Broadcasting purchase adds 4 new signals to their radio group
bringing their total holdings to 46. Leven and Mittman plan to continue the current formats in these markets
which are supported by approximately 50% of the local listening audience.
