Greetings!
As part of the mission of the Youth Ministries Department to lead young people into a
saving relationship with Jesus Christ and to help them embrace His call to discipleship,
Global Youth Day (GYD) activity has been created. The vision of GYD is to recapture
the reality of Adventist youth as a global movement mobilized for service, contributing to
the proclamation of the everlasting gospel and ushering in the second coming of Jesus
Christ.
In relation with this, we are happy to inform the church that the Adventist Youth
Department of Don Carlos Seventh-day Adventist Church are participating in this global
event on March 19, 2016, but due to resources constraint, we will hold the activity on
March 26, 2016. Grounded in the concluding words of Jesus in the parable of the Good
Samaritan, Go and do likewise (Luke 10:25-37), the theme of the Global Youth Day is
Be the sermon.
Attached herewith are the proposed timeline and itineraries of the said activity. We
would welcome any particular changes the church will suggest. We believe that this
activity will be a catalyst for future youth involvement for service, leadership and
discipleship.
