Day 1: (objective 1 & objective 2 achieved)


Step II- Assessment:
Children will be asked to label the teacher with the appropriate body
part.
Stick the human figure cut-out and label its parts.
Match the body parts with its uses.
Eg.:

Step I- Learning Activities:


Motivation:
Teacher will greet the children and start the class with some warm-up questions
there by introducing the topic to the children. Teacher will ask the children to
look at themselves and answer the following questions.

What makes up your body? ;


Do you see different parts? ; etc.

Methodology:

Teacher will explain different parts of the body and also explain the uses of
it.
Teacher will ask the children to perform some activities like bending,
pushing etc. and will explain the body parts that are used to do those
activities.
Teacher will also pictures of certain activities like dancing, swimming and
explain the uses of body parts.

Teaching Aids: Board work, pictures related to some human activities, sticky
notes.
Inter Disciplinary Approach:
English: Verbs (action words) can be explained through the functions performed
by external body parts.
Day 2: (objective 3 achieved)

Work sheets will be given to the children
Step I- Learning Activities:
Motivation:
Teacher will greet the children and start the class with a Blind folding game.
Methodology:

Teacher will organize a sensory centre inside the classroom and will take
children in groups and will explain the significance of sense organs.
Sensory Centre:
Sight: Display a small tray with 5-10 items on it. (Items might
include a leaf, cotton ball, rock, crayon, and rubber band). Let
students study the tray. Then cover the tray and challenge each child
to draw the items they saw on the tray.
Sound: Fill 12 or more small boxes with small items such as paper
clips, rice, pebbles, pennies, and marbles. Each box should have a
plastic-egg "partner" with the exact same items in it. Children can
shake the eggs and listen carefully to find each egg's partner.
Smell: Fill brown envelopes with items such as cinnamon, potpourri,
vinegar, perfume, garlic, and coffee beans. Encourage students to
identify and describe the smells without looking into the envelopes.
Taste: Give some eatables with different tastes(bitter, sour, salty
and sweet tastes)
and describe the sense of taste with the help of tongue.
Touch: Put a variety of items under a towel for children to feel (pine
cones, sandpaper, rocks, leaves, velvet, feathers, sponges, leather,
wax paper, bubble wrap). Then have them identify and describe the
texture of each object.
Teacher will also introduce the word TENSE (tongue, ears, nose, skin,
eyes) for easy remembering of sense organs.
Teaching Aids: Board work, items for making sensory centres.

Activity/Follow Up:
Children will be asked to do a sense organ hat.
Group activity on sense organs will be done.

Motivation:
Teacher will greet the children and start the class with a song When I was
one....
Methodology:

Teacher will ask children to bring their baby photo and the current photo
in order to see human change and growth
Students compare current and baby pictures to note the differences.
Teacher will also display the current pictures of the teacher on the board.
Teacher will then explain the concept of growing older.

Teaching Aids: Board work, chart.


Activity/Follow Up:
Children will be asked to do a flow diagram on following headings.
Human,plants,hen etc.
Eg:

Day 4:
Teacher will read the book and complete the book exercises of unit-2
Day 5:
Notes will be given in C.W. for unit-2.
