Repeat learned information from last weeks Baptism lesson such as what is Baptism, purpose of Baptism,
Baptism across religions.
Explain information relating to topic of Holy Communion through completion of Holy Communion Work
Sheet (Appendix 1)
Draw an illustration of Bible verse Matthew 26:26-28.
Teachers Prior Preparation/Organisation:
Observation of prior Christian Studies lessons
Liaise with Mentor approximately 2 days before
scheduled lesson to allow for editing and improvement
of lesson plan if necessary.
Holy Communion Work Sheet (Appendix 1) has been
created and copied to allow for one for each student: 23

purpose, baptismal traditions/ceremonies in different religions etc.
Teacher to use interactive whiteboard to create brainstorm: Important celebrations
and meals:

Objective 1:
Repeat learned information from last weeks Baptism lesson such as what is
Baptism, purpose of Baptism, Baptism across religions.
To meet objective, students will participate in prior knowledge discussion relaying
information on topic of Baptism (including What is Baptism, purpose, baptismal
traditions/ceremonies in different religions). Objective to be judged through verbal
assessment during class discussion.
Objective 2:
Explain information relating to topic of Holy Communion through completion of
Holy Communion Work Sheet (Appendix 1)
To meet objective, students will complete Holy Communion Work Sheet (Appendix
1) attempting all questions to the best of their ability. Objective to be judged through
collection of Christian Studies books and checking of work sheet.
Objective 3:
Draw an illustration of Bible verse Matthew 26:26-28.
To meet objective, students will complete Question 2 (Draw a picture to show what is
happening in Matthew 26:26-28) in their Holy Communion Work Sheet (Appendix
1). Objective to be judged through collection of Christian Studies books and checking
of work sheet.
