00 MANY Seventh-day Advenare unprepared for the
overwhelming surprises the devil will
soon bring to all the world. Are we
now prepared to withstand the master
spiritualist by the word of God if a
loved one should appear, giving hope
and comfort in the crisis hour? How
many leaders, pastors, and laity could
withstand the overwhelming evidences which the devil is capable of
producing?
We are told the disciples will be
personated by lying spirits claiming
that Christ changed the Sabbath from
Saturday to Sunday. See The Great

What if Ellen White were to be
personated? To those of us who have
accepted her as God's messenger for
this last remnant of time, what effect
would tha t ha ve on the remna n t
church?
But spiritualism is more widespread than the seance chamber. On
every hand we see the insidious working of Satan to prepare our minds to
receive his deceitful, miracle-working
power. The occult has invaded our socalled "Christian" culture in every
form imaginable from the apparent
peace and tranquility of yoga and
transcendental meditation to the
blatant Satanism
of rock music.

late, to know God's pure truth from
the attractive and subtle errors of
spiritualism which are already leavening every level of society.
"Rapidly are men ranging themselves under the banner they have
chosen, restlessly waiting and watching the movements of their leaders.
There are those who are watching
and waiting and working for our
Lord's appearing; while the other
party are rapidly falling into line
under the generalship of the first
great apostate. They look for a god in
humanity, and Satan personifies the
one they seek. Multitudes will be so
deluded through their rejection of
truth that they will accept the
counterfeit. Humanity is hailed as
God.
