My Favorite Game is Football . It is the world most Famous and Popular Game .it is almost
played in all parts of countries and in Europe it is the most played game . It is game in
which each team has 11 players in which 10 are players and 1 is goal keeper. It is an
exercising game . It is one of the best game played in many countries .In football theirs
are many clubs and teams . I like Argentina as my favorite international team &I like FC
Barcelona as my favorite club in football . My favorite player is Lionel Messi

players in over 200 countries, making it the
world's most popular sport.
The game is played on a rectangularfieldwith
agoalat each end. The object of the game is to
score by using any part of the body besides the
arms and hands to get the football into the
opposing goal.

Today, football is played at a professional level all over


the world. Millions of people regularly go to football
stadiums to follow their favourite teams, while billions
more watch the game on television or on the internet.[A
very large number of people also play football at an
amateur level. According to a survey conducted by
FIFA published in 2001, over 240 million people from
more than 200 countries regularly play football.
Football has the highest global television audience in
sport.
In many parts of the world football evokes great
passions and plays an important role in the life of
individual fans, local communities, and even nations.
R. Kapuscinski says that people who are polite, modest
or even humble in Europe fall easily into rage with
playing or watching soccer games.

WORLD.

EARLY EVIDENCE OF SOCCER BEING PLAYED AS A SPORT FINDS OCCURRENCE IN CHINA DURING THE 2ND
AND 3RD CENTURIES BC.

THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION(THE FA) WAS FORMED IN 1863.

BASIC RULES
EACH TEAM SHOULD COMPRISE OF ELEVEN PLAYERS EACH.

TEAMS MUST HAVE ONE GOAL-KEEPER, DEFENDERS, MID-FIELDERS


AND FORWARDS.

PLAYERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HANDLE THE BALL WITH HANDS.


THEY ARE ALLOWED ONLY TO KICK OR HEAD THE BALL.

HANDS ARE USED TO THROW THE BALL INTO GROUND WHEN IT IS


OUT OF GROUND DURING THE MATCH.

ONLY GOAL-KEEPERS COULD HANDLE THE BALL WITH HAND INSIDE


PENALTY BOX (SAVE A GOAL OR SET BALL FOR A KICK).
MATCH IS HELD AS TWO HALVES OF 45 MINUTES EACH (TOTAL
DURATION OF 90 MINUTES) WITH A BREAK OF 15 MINUTES HALFWAY THROUGH.

WHEN A TEAM KICK THE BALL INTO OPPONENTS NET IT IS


CONSIDERED AS A GOAL.

BASIC RULES OF SOCCER


SOCCER IS A SPORT PLAYED BETWEEN TWO TEAMS OF ELEVENPLAYERS WITH A SPHERICALBALL.
THE GAME IS PLAYED ON A RECTANGULARFIELDWITH AGOALAT EACH END.
THE OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME IS TO SCORE BY USING ANY PART OF THE BODY BESIDES THE ARMS AND
HANDS TO GET THE FOOTBALL INTO THE OPPOSING GOAL.

A MATCH CONSISTS OF TWO HALVES OF 45 MINUTES.

A KICK OFF IS USED TO START THE GAME, AND RESTART AFTER A GOAL HAS BEEN SCORED. THE KICK OFF
TAKES PLACE IN THE CENTER CIRCLE.

A THROW IN IS USED TO RESTART THE GAME WHEN THE BALL GOES OUT OF BOUNDS OVER THE SIDELINE.
THE TEAM THAT DID NOT KICK IT OUT THROWS IT IN. BOTH FEET ON THE GROUND AND THE BALL IS
THROWN OVERHAND FROM BEHIND YOUR HEAD WITH BOTH HANDS.

A GOAL KICK IS USED WHEN THE OFFENSIVE TEAM KICKS THE BALL OVER THE DEFENSIVE TEAMS END
LINE. THE BALL STARTS IN THE GOAL BOX, AND MUST CLEAR THE PENALTY BOX.

A CORNER KICK IS USED WHEN THE DEFENSIVE TEAM KICKS THE BALL OVER THEIR OWN END LINE. THE
BALL STARTS WITHIN THE CORNER KICK MARK

HAND BALL: TOUCHING THE BALL WITH ANY PART OF YOUR HAND OR ARM.

SLIDE TACKLING FROM BEHIND
