Proposed expansion of Iver Village Infant School

Dear Consultee,
Iver Village Infant School has a good reputation for its quality of education and inclusiveness. As a
Governing body we have always hoped to provide our own nursery provision.
The present proposal: to extend our admission age range from 4 7 years olds to 2 7 years old,
has been developed in response to the concern that, due to staff retirement, Richings Park Preschool would close in July 2016. The loss of a good pre-school provision and the impact that this
would have on the children and the community has led the Governors to propose the integration
of Richings Park Pre-school provision with Iver Village Infant School.
As a good school, we are in a strong position to build on the current strengths of both settings in
order to grow the school, and to move forward with our own expansion.
Following an informal consultation with parents at both settings, the Governing Body are now
carrying out further consultation with all other interested parties to discuss the reasons for, and the
process of, expanding our school. By extending our current range of admission we will be able to
integrate the current provision provided by Richings Park Pre-school into the Infant school.
This letter marks the start of the formal process. We appreciate that this letter may raise questions
for you and hope that the additional
(Annex A and informal proposal document) will address any questions you may have.
Please find attached a response form. The deadline for returning the form is 12 noon on Monday
4th July 2016. Please send your comments on the attached response form to Joyce Young, Chair
of Governors c/o Iver Village Infant School, Grange Way, Iver, SL0 9NT, or via the school email;
office@iver-inf.bucks.sch.uk or by hand into the school or to Richings Park Preschool. We welcome
your feedback during this formal consultation phase.

The Governing Body of the School will consider all comments received during the consultation
period. We are consulting with all relevant stakeholders as required by law when making changes
to school age range arrangements. A copy of the complete proposal can be viewed on our
website or alternatively it can be viewed at the school address upon request.
