SephardicJews,MizrahiJews,andasmallerpercentageofconvertstoJudaism.TheAmericanJewish
communitymanifestsawiderangeofJewishculturaltraditions,aswellasencompassingthefull

Dependingonreligiousdefinitionsandvaryingpopulationdata,theUnitedStatesishometothe
largestorsecondlargest(afterIsrael)Jewishcommunityintheworld.In2012,theAmericanJewish
populationwasestimatedatbetween5.5and8million,dependingonthedefinitionoftheterm.This
constitutesbetween1.7%to2.6%ofthetotalU.S.population.[1]
