The Compton City Council meeting was called to order at 7:14 p.m. in the Council Chambers
of City Hall by Mayor Eric Perrodin.

JOINT PUBLIC HEARING On motion by Arceneaux, seconded by Hall,

Kofi Sefaboakye, Acting Director of the Redevelopment Agency, stated that the purpose of
this hearing is for the City Council to consider approving a disposition and development
agreement between the City of Compton and Alameda Court, LLC. for the purchase and
development of certain agency-owned properties located at 501 & 521 South Alameda Street.
Mr. Sefaboakye explained that the proposed development is 28 units consisting of two and
three bedroom units with live/work spaces.
AUDIENCE COMMENTS
ON THE HEARING

Lorraine Cervantes requested the value of the


property.

Mr. Sefaboakye stated that the property is valued at $445,000.00. Ms. Cervantes suggested
that the information concerning the citys property value be incorporated into future oral
presentations, in order to stop the rumors of property giveaways.

On motion by Calhoun, seconded by Hall, the hearing was closed at 8:14 p.m. by the

COMMENTS ON THE HEARING

Councilperson/Commissioner Hall declared that


the City Council has never given away agencyowned properties and asserted that agencyowned properties have never been under sold.
Councilperson/Commissioner Arceneaux requested the results of the environmental study.
Mr. Sefaboakye indicated that the environmental study determined that there were no
hazardous emissions or negative impacts to the proposed development or the city.
