2016 Communicators Conference: Bridging the storytelling gap between internal and
external communications

PORTLAND, Ore. Public relations has adapted and developed over the years to keep up
with the ever-evolving communications landscape, and the Communicators Conference has
done the same. Industry professionals need to know how to convey a story in as little as a
140-character tweet, create a lasting impression in a pitch and measure social media
analytics. With so many different tactics and tools, how do communicators stay up to date?

Communications professionals seeking to gain better strategic engagement and storytelling
skills will join the Portland Metro Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) at
the Communicators Conference on May 2 at the Ambridge Event Center in Portland. This
years conference focuses on strengthening storytelling techniques between internal and
external communications.

Keynote speakers include:
Carol Kruse, chief marketing officer, Cambia Health Solutions.
Amy Kot, senior vice president of employee engagement (Northwest), Edelman.
Christopher Hannegan, executive vice president and U.S practice chair of employee
engagement, Edelman

In addition, nine breakout sessions will cover topics such as survey sampling,
modernization of organizations, strategic employee engagement and effective storytelling.
