The writing camp tutor prepares Paschal students who are the most at risk in the areas of reading and
writing in grades nine through eleven for the STAAR End-of-Course assessment.

Judge, TCU College of Education Regional Spelling Bee

Spring 2014

North Texas area students compete in the College of Education Regional Spelling Bee with hopes of
advancing to the annual Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. Judge verifies spelling
accuracy and attends to challenges.

Facilitator, Scholarship Essay-Writing Workshop

African-American college-bound boys participate in workshop designed to make them aware of


scholarship opportunities and to teach them how to craft strong scholarship essays. The workshop is
sponsored by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Beta Tau Lamba Chapter.
