Using&a&student&pointer&who&uses&a&drum&stick,&baton,&Ginger,&etc&to&literally&point&to&each&beat&of&each&exercise&on&the&projector&screen&
keeps&the&class&together&and&reinforces&the&rhythm&of&the&pointer.
The&levels&are&strategically&sequenced,&beginning&with&the&key&of&A&(which&uses&many&open&strings).&&
The&basic&chords&are&the&chords&built&on&the&I,&IV,&V,&and&vi&scale&degrees&of&the&respective&key.
The&Gingering&for&the&G&chord&is&not&commonly&published&as&such.&&If&a&student&uses&a&different&Gingering,&it&is&not&a&problem.&&I&use&this&GingerN
ing&for&two&reasons:
o 1)&Sonically,&I&do&not&like&the&sound&of&the&root&and&the&3rd&so&close&to&each&other&in&the&bass
o 2)&Technically,&omitting&the&1st&Ginger&is&simpler
&The&minor&chords&are&in&an&easy&Gingering.&&If&a&student&knows&a&more&advanced&position&(i.e.,&barre&chord),&it&can&be&substituted.
&Each&chord&is&notated&in&a&fretboard&grid
o The&nut&of&the&guitar&is&represented&by&the&thick&horizontal&line.&&
o x&represents&no&sound
o o&represents&an&open&string
