The video is a time-lapse of the March average monthly thickness of the ozone
layer from 1979 to 2015. The video derives from satellites images that analyze the
atmosphere near the poles. The imaging shows that despite the fact that the ozone layer
has decreased and increased in size numerous times within recent history; however,
overall, the ozone depletion has increased. This time-lapse is vital to analyzing how the
ozone layer has fluctuated and changed throughout the past 35 years.
