Covers most of what Pakistan is
today
Gujarat
Haryana
Punjab
Rajasthan

Indus valley civilization


Began 5,000 years ago
Biggest cities were Harappa and MohenjoDaro
Names were given later but we dont
know what the Indus people used to call it
80,000 living in each city

Where was the Indus valley


Indus river begins up in the Himalayan
mountain
Flows about 3,000 kilometers to the Arabia
sea
Moves down stream so it carves out a valley
People settled there

Hot all year
No need of thick clothes

Made from baked clay
Kids loved to play
Played with rolling toys too

Archeologists found dice made from
cubes of stone and terracotta clay
Probably the oldest dice in the world
Kept camels so maybe they went for
camel racing

Facts
Wells up to 20 meters deep
The biggest Indus reservoir was over
500 meters long
Rich people had bronze mirrors
