Dear Families,

My name is Monica Hall, and I am a School District Administrator.

We are reaching out to families through multiple means (flyers,
emails, phone calls), and I am sending you this email as a follow-up to
a letter that you may have received a few weeks ago. We cordially
invite your scholar(s) and you to the "Black Scholars Rising
Celebration" that will be held on Tuesday, May 24th at 6:30 pm in the
Amherst Regional Middle School Auditorium.
Please join us in recognizing all students of Black/African
American Heritage in grades preschool through 12th
grade, while promoting cultural awareness and commemorating the
legacy of the Black experience!
During the celebration, there will be a rising ceremony for students
who are transitioning to grades 7, 9, and graduating. There will also
be food and entertainment.
I am happy to add you and your family members to the confirmed or
declined RSVP list or please feel free to contact Yahdira Torres
at TorresY@arps.org or 413-362-1810 as soon as possible.
We hope to hear from families this week to ensure we are planning
accordingly but welcome anyone at any time.
If you are able to join us, please let us know how many people will be
attending from your family including your scholar(s).
Regards,
Monica P. Hall
Director of Equity and Professional Development

I do not understand why you would send me this email. Is my child receiving an
award? Why would someone from Maria Geryk's administration send me this

when there is a stay away order issued by your boss?

Hello Aisha,
This is an end of the year event, and you are welcome to attend. The
superintendent is fully aware of your invitation to the Black Scholars Rising
Celebration. There are no awards given to individual students, but the seniors will
receive kente stoles to wear at graduation. We will be celebrating our Black/
African American students and culture. You, your child, and any other family
members are welcome to come. Please RSVP if possible with Yahdira Torres @
torresy@arps.org or 413-362-1810.
All the best,
Monica

Ms. Guevara,
Your administration and yourself have now really solidified how you feel and view
my child and myself in this district.
This is perfectly fine because you have shown it over and over again in many
situations. From not responding to questions I have asked your office about the
wellbeing of my child at Pelham Elementary also many situations which resulted
in unanswered questions by your administration.
I have said it many times if you are not able to do your jobs then you should not
pretend like you can.
