Resolution of the Alabama Republican Party in Opposition to the Removal of
Chief Justice Roy Moore
WHEREAS, Chief Justice Roy Moore was elected by the voters of the State of Alabama,
WHEREAS, Chief Justice Roy Moore has been a consistent proponent of our pro-life and traditional
marriage values, which are the positions of the Alabama Republican Party, and
WHEREAS, we believe that any statewide elected official should only be impeached and
subsequently removed from office by the elected legislature,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the Alabama Republican Party that we call on the Court of the
Judiciary to drop the politically motivated charges against Chief Justice Roy Moore, and
THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY the Alabama Republican Party that we call on the
legislature to pass legal changes that would prevent the political removal of statewide elected officials,
unless done so by the elected legislature of the state.
Adopted, this the 21st day of May, in the Year of Our Lord 2016, by the State Executive Committee of
the Alabama Republican Party.

Resolution To Recognize Small Business Owner Appreciation Day
As The Last Saturday of August Annually In Alabama
WHEREAS, the economic engine of American capitalism in Alabama and the United States is small
business; and
WHEREAS, the cities, towns, and counties throughout the State of Alabama have been the home for
thousands of small businesses over the history of our state; and
WHEREAS, these small businesses through the sale of their goods and services meet the basic needs
of our fellow Alabamians and citizens across the United States as well as people throughout
the world; and
WHEREAS, these small businesses with the sale of their goods and services provide the essential tax
base for the operation of our local and state governments; and
WHEREAS, the cities, towns, and counties throughout Alabama have been and will continue to be
home to small businesses which have grown to state, national and world-wide recognition.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Alabama Republican Party State Executive Committee
requests Alabama Governor Robert Bentley and the Alabama Legislature to recognize the last
Saturday of August annually as Small Business Owner Appreciation Day in Alabama; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this Resolution be sent to Alabama Governor Robert
Bentley, Alabama Senate Pro Tempore Del Marsh, Alabama State House of Representatives Speaker
Mike Hubbard.
