JACKET SEWING STEPS
1. With RIGHT sides together, fold one side of bodice back (piece 2) matching the
solid dots near the bottom of curved edges.

2. Pin the curved edges (even if curves have different shapes). Stitch in a 5/8 (1.5cm)
until dot.

4. Stitch across the pleat from one side (on crease) towards dot without stitching on the
bodice. Repeat on the other side of pleat. Make a knot with loose threads on center
dot.

5. Repeat for the other side of bodice back. Repeat steps 1 to 4 for each bodice front
(piece 1) and for bodice back and bodice front of lining.

6. OPTIONAL Pocket (piece 5): For each outer bodice front side and for each bodice
back side: with RIGHT sides together, place the pocket along the pocket application
line and stitch pocket side and bodice in a 5/8 (1.5cm) seam.
7. With RIGHT sides together, stitch outer bodice front (piece 1) and outer bodice
back (piece 2) shoulders in a 5/8 (1.5cm) seam, matching intersecting seam. Cut
exceeding fabric corners. Press open. Repeat for lining sections.

8. For each sleeve (piece 3): With RIGHT sides together, pin and stitch the sleeve to
the bodice armhole in a 5/8 (1cm) seam, matching empty dots and matching the
sleeve top with the shoulder seam. Press towards sleeve. Repeat for lining sections.
9. Keep out front and back pockets. With RIGHT sides together, stitch bodice and
sleeve side seams matching all intersecting seams in a 5/8 (1.5cm) seam. On the
outer fabric, do not stitch on the pocket seams, just overlap seams on the higher and
lower side of pocket seam. Reinforce seam at underarm. Repeat for lining sections
without pockets.

STITCH SIDES OF OUTER FABRIC. DO NOT STITCH ON POCKET SEAMS (BETWEEN PINS)
10. For each side: press seam open and fold both front and back pocket sections towards
front. Stitch curved pocket edges in a 1/4 (5mm) seam, catching the margin. Do not
stitch on the bodice.

11. With RIGHT sides together, pin and stitch the outer hood sections (piece 4) on the
back curved edge in a 5/8 (1.5cm) seam. Press open. Repeat for lining sections.
12. With RIGHT sides together, insert the lining hood INSIDE the outer hood. Stitch
front openings in a 5/8 (1.5cm) seam. Turn OUTSIDE the hoods and topstitch
about 1/4 (5mm) from the edge.

13. With RIGHT sides together, pin and stitch the hood base to the outer neckline, with
hood dots matching the bodice front dot of the corresponding size on front center
lines.
14. With RIGHT sides together, pin the lining jacket to the outer jacket, enclosing the
hood. Starting from the lower back edge, stitch in a 5/8 (1.5cm) seam all the raw
outer edges (hem, front openings and neckline), leaving an unstitched space in the
lower back edge (about 8 (20cm) ) to easily turn the jacket OUTSIDE. Clip corners
and trim all bulking excess margins.
LEAVE AN UNSTITCHED SPACE IN THE LOWER BACK EDGE

15. Turn the entire jacket on the RIGHT side from the unstitched space in the lower
back edge. For each sleeve: temporarily pin the inner and the outer sleeve edges
only at sides seam.
16. Pull the sleeve INSIDE the jacket from the lower back edge: the outer sleeve and
the lining sleeve will result with the WRONG side out and separated, but still
pinned.

SLEEVE DETAIL
17. Remove the pin. Place the outer sleeve raw edge in front of the lining sleeve raw
edge. Pin the raw edges together.

18. Stitch the pinned sleeve raw edges in a 5/8 (1.5cm) seam.
19. Turn again the sleeve OUTSIDE the jacket from the armhole: the outer sleeve and
the lining sleeve will result with the RIGHT side out and one inside the other. Press.
20. Topstitch each sleeve edge about 1/4 (5mm) from the edge. (NOTE: to topstitch
the sleeve edge: turn the sleeve WRONG side out as in the following picture)

21. Fold 5/8 (1.5cm) INSIDE the margins of the unstitched space in the lower back
edge and close it with invisible stitches. OPTIONAL: on OUTSIDE, topstitch 1/4
(5mm) from the outer edges of hem and front openings.
22. On INSIDE, attach three sew on snaps on the bodice front openings. On OUTSIDE,
attach three decorative buttons.

TABLE PRINTING
Select the table pages to be printed in the PRINT command.
Your printed pages should now be in order according to Row letter, then Column number
(i.e. Row A Column 1, Row A Column 2, Row B Column 1, Row B Column 2, etc.).
Lay the printed pages from Left to Right, Top to Bottom, overlapping each sheet (match
the gray squares by laying them next to each other).
To adhere pages together, turn sheet over, then apply a thin layer of adhesive.
