Before renaming the database, check all the datafiles , redologfiles, tempfiles are present or not.
Put the database in mount state. And issue the below command.
nid target=sys/syst1rep1@T1REP1 DBNAME=T1REP11
Nid is the oracle utility to change the database name.
Target means for which database you are changing , you need to give that database
sys/syspassword@Targetdbtns
DBNAME=Which database name you want , need to give that database name and then press enter.
I will ask Change database ID and database name T1REP1 to T1REP11? (Y/[N]) => y
Enter : y then enter, it will change the database name.
[ora11g@ldbvdtx001 ~]$ nid target=sys/syst1rep1@T1REP1 DBNAME=T1REP11
DBNEWID: Release 11.2.0.2.0 - Production on Mon Aug 12 19:35:46 2013
