Foraslongashumanhistorygoes,womenhavealwaysbeentreateddifferentlyfrom
men.Menhavebeenseendominanttowomenineverythingaslongashistorygoesback,and
havecontrolledthelivesofwomen.Awomansrightshavebeenlimitedandherfreedom
restricted,withoutherconsent.Despitebeingseenaslowerthanmen,womenhavebeengiven
specificrequirementsthattheymustfollowthebefeminineandpresentthemselves
appropriately.Womenarejobs,clothenotallowedthesames,laws,andeducation,butit'stime
tochangethatbecausethisglobalconflictisbiggerthananyglobalwar.
Thisposterrepresentsawomansrightofbeingtreatedequaltoanyman.These
picturessymbolizethesimpleequalitywomenhaveyearnedfor.Femaleshavedonethesame
amountofworkasmanbutaregivenafractionofpay.Menareallowededucationwhilewomen
arekeptignorantofknowledge.Thebiggestpictureinthemiddleshowsawomanshands
reachingforequalitieswhilebeingheldbackwithshacklesbecausesheisawoman.The
genderofapersonbecomingaconflictisanideathatgoesagainsttheconstitutionandwhat
Americarepresents.Thisalsoshowshowlongwomenhavebeentryingtoacquiretheyequal
rightswithlittleeffect.Thispicturealsostressestheironybecausewomenhaveworkedharder
andlongerthanmenstatisticallyonlytoearnlesspay.Thesmallpictureinthebottomleft
showshowmencandothesamejobsaswomen.However,womenareexpectedtostayhome
andworkallday.Theyaresupposedtocleanthehouse,raisethechildren,andultimatelylisten
totheirhusbandswithouthesitation.Awomanshouldbeabletogettheeducationandjobshe
desireswithouthavingtheobstacleofhergender.Menandwomenshouldnothavedividedand
presetrolesinthehouseandinsocietyduetotheirgenderdifferences.Mostimportantlythe
sloganwantstodisplaythatmenhavemothers,daughters,sisters,andwives.Ifthetruelylove
them,thentheyshouldtreatthemandallwomantheequallythewaytheywanttobetreatedfor
anywomanisapartinsomeoneelseslife.Thisposterdescribesthegapbetweenmenand
womenfortheyarenotseenonthesamelevelsociallyandpolitically,yetaretoldAmericais
thelandoftheequalandfree.
Womenlivealifeofinequalityandfear.Despitethefactthattheydonothaveequal
rights,theyhavebeenthetargetforcrime.Womenlivelifeinterrorbecausetheyareviolated
andbeat.Theyarenotprotectedbecominganeasyandcommontarget.Womenalsohaveto
livewiththepainofverbalandsexualharassmentandaresilencedinfear.Womenalsospent
atleasttwotimesmorehoursonworkthanmenwithoutthefactthattheyearnafractiontono
payatall.Also,womenworkathomeandtakecareofthefamilyadisproportionatetime
comparedtomen.Womenarealsonotallowedequalmembershipintopoliticswhichalsocan
explaintheirlackofequalrightsandlaws.Womenareseenasweakbeingthatneedtheir

husbandstoguideandprotectthem.Theyareexpectedtoweardressesandplaywithdolls.As
theygrowup,theyaretobeproficientatcleaningthehouseandservingtheirfamilywithlittle
educationabouttherealworld.Womenaregivenlimitationsonwhattheycanorcannotdo,
wear,say,learn,etcTheserestrictionhavebeenputintoplacewithoutanylogicalreason.
Womenareseeninferiortomenaretreatedlikeanimals.Theyarenottakenseriouslyandare
onlyshruggedoffwhentryingtomakearealisticpoint.
Currently,inthe1930s,womenarenolessthanmen,butareonlybeingheldbackby
thelawscreatedbymenthemselves.Womendeserveequivalentrightsandfairtreatment.The
basictreatmentwomanwantisequaltreatment.Womandonotwanttobeseenasan
annoyancebutbeinginlifethatarecherishedandwanted.Womandonotwanttobelessthan
men,andwanttobegiventhesameopportunities.Womanshouldbegiventhesameeducation
andjobsasmen.Thisalsoshouldresultinthesameamountofworkalongwiththesame
amountofpaygivenout.Womenalsoshouldnothavetofollowachecklistthatmakesthem
looklikeappropriatewomenintheeyesofsociety.Theyshouldbeabletodefinethemselvesas
differentandabletowearanddowhattheywant.Womenalreadyhaveequalrights,soitisnot
atopicofwomenbeinggrantedrights.Thisisdemonstratedunfairgovernmentandsociety
towardswomen.Alsoofthecountrywantstorunsmootherandactuallydowhattheystandfor,
givingwomenequalrightswouldboostmoraleandproductionfortheUnitedStates.The
economyandsocietywouldbenefitalongwiththeendtothesufferingofcurrentwomenand
futuregenerations.Asyoucanseethereisnoneedtoputnewlawsinplaceaslongasthe
onespriorareenforcedandfollowedbysocietyandthegovernment.
Itisthe1930sastheworldandtheUnitedStatesadvance,alongwiththepeople,new
technologyandwaysofgoverningareobviouslychangingandcomingoverus.Ithasbeen
thousandsofyearssincewomenandmenhavebeenlivingtogetheronthisplanetandhave
developedovertime.Stillmenandwomancannotobtainequalrights,whichisntanobstacle
thatwouldhurttheUnitedStatesortakesacrifice.Thisisasurprisebecausebothmenand
womenworkhard,buttheoutcomesandrewardsdiffer.Womenequalityshouldnotbeanissue
becausewomensrightsarehumanrights.Theydonotdifferhowevertheworldandsociety
createabarrieraroundwomenthatenvisionsthemdifferently.Theyarenotdifferentbutifwe
havenotcomeoverthisconflictitshowshowweakandstubbornmenaretosaythatwomen
putinthesameifnotmoreamountoftimeandeffortintomakingthiscountrybetter.
