transactions relating to the individual debtors, as reflected in
the individual debtors accounts.
The total of all the balances of the individual debtors accounts

Posting from journals to the debtors ledger takes place on a
daily basis
The balance on the control accounts must be reconciled
periodically, at least once a month with the total of the

GOLDEN RULES
Overcast means that the amounts have been added up
incorrectly and that the total amount is more than it should
be.
When an error is made in totalling a journal the mistake only
affects the Debtors control account
When an entry was made on the wrong side of an account,
the effect of the correction is double the amount of the
error. First the wrong entry must be cancelled and then the
amount must be correctly entered. (refer to Page 209 & 210
of the Study Guide)
For summary of procedure refer to Page 207 of the Study
Guide
You are expected to reconcile the balance on the debtors
control account with the total list of debtors list (refer to
Page 209 of the Study Guide under Required No.2)

INSPIRATIONAL POEM
Follow Your Dream
Follow your dream.
Take one step at a time and don't settle for less,
Just continue to climb.
Follow your dream.
If you stumble, don't stop and lose sight of your goal
Press to the top.
For only on top can we see the whole view,
Can we see what we've done and what we can do,
Can we then have the vision to seek something new,
Press on.
Follow your dream.
