Year 12 Mid-Year Exams

Dear Parent/Caregiver,
Monday and Tuesday of Week 1 of Term 3: 25 & 26 July 2016 have been set aside for Year 12 MidYear examination days.
Attached is the examination timetable for your information. This year we have decided to hold the MidYear Exams over two days instead of the whole of week 1 term 3.
If your child is not required to sit examinations during these 2 days then they are not required to
attend formal lessons. However teachers of some subjects are concerned that students will be placed
under extra pressure from missing the Monday and Tuesday of week 1 and the learning. Therefore
teachers in these particular subjects will be negotiating compulsory catch up times with students
during week 1, which students will be required to attend.
On the last day of Term 2 a school report without teacher comments will be given to all students
including Year 12s.
To gain detailed information from each of your Year 12 students teachers, we strongly advise you to
contact each teacher directly to gather feedback on your childs progress. Contact may be made via
email http://reynellaec.sa.edu.au/contact-us/staff/ or by organising a face to face meeting with the
teacher in or around the first week of Term 3.
Save the Date: if your child is considering a University pathway after the completion of Year 12,
please be advised that there will be a Question & Answer Seminar about applying for University and

other relevant issues on Wednesday evening 10 of August, 2016. Staff from Flinders University will
be in attendance and all parents and students are invited to attend. More details will be published early
next term.
