Discover thyself today to find a better world tomorrow- The potential is all with a heart

beat ,is the slogan that is represented through my womens right poster. Womens rights is
generally a branch of civil rights. This particular branch emphasises that concept of gender
equality or the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political (political positions/voting),
social (mental people preservation), and economic (wage) equality to men. During the 1930s,
the American economy had entered into a downward spiral and the society was in a hinge of
transitioning from the mental preservation that women are to be deemed worthless in terms of
potential. Although they sought differently as they realize their capabilities and when presented
to a community, they would often shut it down. As Jem says women get too carried away with
their imaginations and they are hated for that. It is possibly this concept of where if it isnt the
proper moral way then it would just be preposterous. On a historical aspect, some have argued
that "feminism died" during the Great Depression, as the economic emergency of the 1930s led
to substantial political gains for women. The expansion of social welfare services in the New
Deal, a field dominated by women, led to the appointment of more women in high government
positions than ever before. As feminists, these women used their government posts to work on
behalf of other women. The New Deal politician Molly Dewson observed, "The change from
women's status in government before Roosevelt is unbelievable."
Given these concepts, I have constructed a simple eye catching said-to-be propaganda
poster. For starters as shown to the right is a print of a woman whom is getting dressed in a
uniform. While looking for posters revolving around the topic of feminism it came to the
realization that a vast majority to nearly all the posters had the same ideal kind of women within
the poster. This women was always caucasian and covered from head to toe. Apart from that
they were nearly all given this fondness, mature, well dressed look to them. This was showing
me that those who had these posters in during this particular time period must have realized
several things; one, that it must be accurate, two, it had to grasp the attention of audiences,
and three, it had to make sense to the viewers. Scout is an adolescent during to kill a
mockingbird. During the story she realizes that the way everyone and everybody is living is
hellish (keep in mind she is only six to nine years old), and had she seen a poster of america
where everyone is happy and jolly and living like kings, she would quickly think that it is merely
a fascination. The poster would not be accurate as to her preservation, everyone is suffering in
one form or another. Mentally she wont not take it as reality. This sort of concept applies to
creating the poster. Within a community, people have a particular mindset in which those who
live in the community, more or less share. Within the 1930s everyone had this idea where
women were subordinate in nature. It was practically like a caste system where there would be
a white male would be king, then the next in charge would be the white male kid(s), then the
white woman, then the white daughter. At the bottom were hardly peasants. African Americans
were the same all around. This was the notion that was given all throughout America as they
were lived out as such and before political acts were performed throughout the nation, there
was laws such as the Jim Crow laws that emanated segregation. Giving this a people v.s. The
government initiative vibe. Which is why an african american woman is displayed on the bottom
left corner indicating that everyone, no matter how small or devalued one may be perceived,
has the ability to stand up and make a difference. That everyone, light skinned or dark skinned,
male or female has that potential to make a movement with massive power . That the king
white male is no longer the only one with said power. Another form of power is shown on the top

right corner by a woman, african american, showing muscle, short hair, male like dressing, and
all. This particular drawing is a reincarnation of the we can do it poster distributed all
throughout the era of world war two. This poster was created to boost morale within the work
force. It is funny to see how when in times of mayhem, all humans band together to fight off a
hostile opponent ( such as in times of war or on the brink of extinction) . Where everyone is
now equal as a species, those with a heartbeat have potential. As if the potential had been
newly placed. However, when presented with this idea of women helping it would be
preposterous because man had the complete obligation to do all the heavy duty man sized
jobs for honor within the mantle of man. This concept is forgotten within communities during
hard times because man cannot do everything by themselves. As every one is in need of
assistance no matter how powerful one may be. Going back to the first mentioned photo, a
woman is presented in a workplace. During this time the this poster had been presented, the
world was in a time of war and everyone with the capabilities needed to help. Men would go off
to war, and women would be doing everything they can to help within her capabilities. This
particular woman was shown to be making ammunition. Bullets for war. Making these
appliances require using heavy machinery. Who was thought out to be weak and fragile was
now making lethal weapons. History defines this as a social revolution. A social revolution
because mankind had turned into humankind. Because as a species, we all have the same
functions and only time will correct mistakes. As shown over and over thorough history.
Especially those that revolve around humankind and equality. Showing that potential is in all.
