The teacher guides the pupils to the Ex. 1 which


contains discussion questions as follows:
Why is Christmas an important holiday?
What does Christmas mean to you?
Do you believe in Father Christmas exists?
Do you like to get and give presents at Christmas?
The teacher guides the pupils to the Ex.2 and
displays pictures on the blackboard, the pupils
should write their names correctly. The teacher gives
the translation of the words.

The teacher guides the pupils to look at the title of
the text and asks to make prediction what the text
will be about. They should answer that the text is
about how Grandpa had a surprise on Christmas
Eve.
Then the teacher asks the pupils to read the text and
translate it (each pupil a sentence).
At the end of the text there are two questions:
Were the children glad to hear his story? Why?
So the teacher asks these questions and let the
children make suppositions.

seven small groups and asks to find in the text if the
given sentences are true or false and correct if they
are false.

to have such a lesson for the next time?
Homework:
For homework pupils will have to put the verbs in
the past simple tense and learn how Amandas
family celebrated last Christmas. Then the teacher
revises how past simple tense is formed. That the
Past Simple tense is used to talk about actions in the
past. Past Simple is formed as follows: for regular
verbs is verb + ed; for irregular, they have a
specific form that can be found in the second colon
of the irregular verbs.
Another exercise is to write about Christmas in their
family on a piece of a paper.
The teacher announces the ending of the lesson, says
good bye.
