Persuasive essay
Would financial literacy classes benefit high school students ?Source 1 states
that the classes were beneficial for the students .Source 2 claims that the classes did
not benefit anyone .Source 3 talked about the pros and cons of the classes .Financial
literacy classes can be taught and be used wisely in the future as long as it is taught
right .
Source 1 claims that financial literacy courses prepares high school students .For
example ,The texas economics curriculum carves out time for personal finance, but
does not test students only material. Mr. Frost says it's just too important to ignore so he
tries the lesson to life for his students by pairing them as a couple and giving them
children. speaks about a real-life game of life. The quotes explain that in texas, the
students are given the financial courses but never tested in the real-life sorta say. For
one thing,One of his students wrote after about the experience,..., I first learned that
the good budgeting has to be maintained throughout a person's life no matter the
income . states that the test should given so that students can understand the difficulty
of not learning in the nick-of-time .
Source 2 states that the financial literacy courses are a waste of time .To
illustrate , these measures don't affect only youth .Adults face similar obligatory
instructions when they seek bankruptcy or some cases ,apply for loans , explains that
not only students are taught but also the adults .Another example , Willis cites
examples as a high school student who took a semester-long personal -finance course

and tested worse than those who did not. explains that that possibly the courses are
little to hard or the students don't want to learn. Source 3 gives examples of how
financial courses are beneficial for anyone.
Source 3 states that it is sometimes beneficial and non-beneficial .For example ,
whether in taking a loan ,buying a house ,or saving for retirement ,people are being
asked to make decisions that are difficult even if they have graduated training in finance
and economics . explains that even if trained the economy wasn't so easy .Another
example , a popular approach to this problem is to work harder , .. ,one reason to think
this solution would have big pay off is that people who are more knowledgeable about
financial matters ,or measured by a test ,performed better at tasks like for retirement or
staying out of debt . explains that working harder can get you places faster .
Would financial literacy benefit high students ?From my perspective ,they would
benefit the students .As source 1 claims , it is just too important to ignore . college
students go through so much debt ,not knowing how to budget their money and save
.Financial literacy courses show students how economics are being used in the world
,how to budget ,and how to save .
Finance literacy classes are taught ,are given right or wrong lessons .This
classes tests show students how to work with the economy .Some students don't
always learn .Courses aren't always helpful in some cases .No matter ,financial literacy
courses help who really wants to learn .
