New Information: The Gods. A short

section of the textbook is read through
as a class.
Activity: Students complete a profile
piece on one of the gods, using their
devices to research. They answer
questions such as their role, their
appearance, draw an example, where
and how they were worshipped, their
symbols. Remind Students to cite any
sources used.
Students then write a short paragraph
explaining
1. How important do you think this
god/goddess was to Ancient
Egyptian Society?
2. Why do you think Egyptian
Society would have a
god/goddess specifically for this
role?
Closure:
Reflection: Students find a partner
who has done a different god or
goddess and share what they have
found about it.
Students who have not handed up
their timelines need to hand them up
now.

Students read along as the
text is read aloud.
Students work independently
to find information on their god
