SUMMARY:
-WHAT YOU DID?
-WHAT INJURIES DID YOU OBSERVE?
-HOW WAS THE INJURY HANDLED?
-WERE THERE ANY SITUATIONS IN WHICH YOU THINK AN
INJURY COULD HAVE OCCURRED? WHY?
On Thursday the 28th, I worked the freshman boys baseball game. Before leaving for the field I
helped to prep the water jugs and bottles, and then transported them to the field. From there I
unloaded the supplies and carried them to the dugout. The game, started around 3:30. During
the game I passed out waters to the players, making sure they were all hydrated. There were no
big injuries that happened during the game. Because baseball is a non contact sport there were
hundreds of situations where a injury could have occurred. One of the situations that I saw was a
player sliding into home base while the catcher struck downwards in order to get him out. This
could have cause a number of injuries if done wrong, put luckily it was done correctly. After the
game I helped players ice their injuries.
