1. General Condition
a. Make sure that safe access to and egress from site for all lifting personnel and vehicles are
already exist. And also ensure that the working area is clear of all obstructions to allow the
safe assembly and working of crane.
b. Make sure that the area where the crane is to stand/operate is firm and level, capable of
withstanding the expected loadings that will be imposed upon it.
c. Any personnel that not directly concerned with the lift must warn to stay away from the
lifting area and under the moving object.
d. All crane to be left unattended for a period, shall be left ini safe condition, with not load on
the crane hook. Cranes shall be shut down, secured and locked. Under no circumstances shall
the crane be moved for lifting purpose
e. In the event of extreme weather conditions the lift company may need to suspend the lifting
operation until such time as it is safe to proceed.

Luffing crane minimum distance is 3,7 and 4 meter, for any material that too close with luffing
crane such as formwork for core wall should mobilize by pull the chain until reach the
appropriate position another alternative is use another luffing crane because we have 2 luffing
crane.
3. Standard Operating Procedure
a. Preparation Before Lifting Work
1) Check the condition of the oil, radiators, and solar
2) Make sure that workers are not working in the swing areas
3) The crane should be operated in the right position (check the condition of the base plat
and the surrounding area).
4) No one allowed hanging on the crane
5) Check the weather (consider about the wind and bad weather)

2) Remove the slings by hands, provide the gloves for the worker.
4. Personel Requirement
a. Crane Operator
All crane operators should have a license for crane operation. And all crane operators should
know their responsibility as follows:
Should check the condition of the crane, safety device, and the other equipment before
the operation
Has the responsibility to operate the crane safely
The operator is not allowed to leave the device when the engine still on

If there is any crane device that doesnt work properly the operator should Stop the crane
operation and tell to the supervisor
b. Rigger
Rigger is the man who allowed to attach chain/ slings for the lifting process. 2 Rigger will
be appointed from the worker who had experiences and ability, and that worker will given
the internal training to be a rigger. The Worker who has certified as a rigger will be given an
identity as a rigger like red helmet with the inscription RIGGER. Rigger has roles and
responsibilities as mentioned below:
1) Check the slings and ensure that the rigging angle is correct
2) Make sure the load is properly secured
3) Make sure the lifting gears such as slings and shackles are well use and in good condition
4) Make sure the load is stable, secured and balanced before any lifting operation.
5) Immediately report any defective or fault lifting gear to the supervisor.
c. Signalman
Signalman is a person who has responsibility to give signals for lifting, swinging, and
lowering loads. 2 Signalman will be appointed from the worker who had experiences and
ability, and that worker will be given the internal training to be a signalman. The worker
who has been trained as a signalman will be given an identity as a signalman like red helmet
with the inscription SIGNALMAN. Signalman has roles and responsibilities as mentioned
below:
1) Check the load is properly rigged before giving clear signal to the Crane Operator to lift
the load
2) Give the correct crane hand signals clearly to the Crane Operator to lift the load.
5. Communication and Signaling
Communication between the operator and rigger is very important to make sure that the tools
operating safely. Communication between Lifting Supervisor, Rigger and Signalman must be
maintained at all times. The communication methods that will be used is by using two-ways
radio.

Column C9 is the biggest column and the heaviest one to be pre-fabrication. Total weight for its
rebar at GF~3rd Fl. is almost 8 ton. Therefore, to overtake this problem, we will make the rebar in

separately. For 3rd floor below, divide the pre-fab into three time installation or 1 time for 1 layer, as
we know that C9 column at this floor has three layer rebar.
First layer = 62D32 with 6 meter length = 2.349 t
Second layer = 64D32 6 meter = 2.425 t
Third layer = 70D32 6 meter = 2.652 t
Mobile crane is the most possible equipment to be used for lifting this column rebar because
crawler crane can not reach the C9 position and we still does not have any luffing crane. Base on the
mobile crane specification, we can lift up the rebar within range 22 meter. Therefore, pre-fab location
should be within 22 meter from mobile crane current position. After luffing crane finish installed, we
can use this luffing crane to lifting this column rebar. Range between LC location to the C9 column is
less than 25 meter and LC#2, and the luffing crane allowable load for that range is 9.3 meter.
Furthermore, C9 rebar at 3rd floor above only 156D32, this is fewer than 3rd floor below.
