The Pump set shall be assembled in a factory approved for such purposes, painted, tested regulated and ready for installation. The pump set shail be tested as a whole locally and shell be offered for Witness Testing to Consultant / Client if required, APTER SALES SUPPORT ‘The Pump Manufacturer shall have local supplier & adequate spare parts stock and also shall have skilled personnel for the servicing of the system and its components, The pump supplier shall be required to attend any problem with the pump set during the defect liability period within 48 Hours The method and details of connection shall be entirely in accordance with the requirements of and in full co-ordination with the municipality and all authorised delegation. ‘The Tenderer shall include in his offer forall cost, together with carrying out all necessary work in liaison with them. ‘The Contractor shall verify all cover and invert levels on site and shall prepare a comprehensive manhole schedule for Engineers approval, prior to installation works, ‘The contractor shall submit their proposed method statements separately in detail along with necessary sketches/drawings for each services connection to existing lines ‘well in time and obtain approval from the Employer/Engineer. Supply of Water ‘The Contractor shall be responsible for the supply and subsequent disposal of all water used for the testing of pipelines snd water retaining structures and for the washing out and Sterilisation of all pipelines and tanks on the potable water systems. Spare Parts ‘The Contractor shall submit with his tender a list of manufacturer’s recommended spare parts which in his opinion should be kept at the works to enable quick repairs in case of a breakdown or during replacement of worn parts. Final Connection ‘The actual connection and provision of isolating valves shall be done by the specialist, Sub-contractor, in co-ordination with Engineering Department of FMPLOYER. The tenderer shall include in his offer for all cost, together with carrying out all necessary ‘work in liaison with them, Spare Parts ‘The Contractor shall submit with his tender a list of manufacturer's recommended spare parts which in his opinion should be kept at the works to enable quick repairs in case of a breakdown for one year. The cost of these spare parts shall be included in the tender price and provided to site, Installations Bases for Pumps and Similar Builders Work Generally Contractor shall provide all necessary details and drawings of bases of any description required. These bases shall at all times be constructed to avoid transmission of noise or vibration to other parts of the building or structure. Base designs shall be submitted to the Engineer/Employer for approval. ‘The Contractor, unless othenwise instructed in writing, before putting work in hand shall submit to the Engineer's representative drawings to scale of the layout of Plant rooms of any description. Dimensions of Plant or Equipment As mentioned in all relevant sections, notwithstanding the heights, lengths etc. of the equipment indicated on the drawings or specifications, the Comtractor shall be responsible for ascertaining that all dimensions and sizes correspond to the position indicated. Any changes having to be made on site and/or arising from the Contractor not having complied with these instructions, shall be his responsibility and no extra will be entertained in this respect. Machinery Guards All moving parts of machinery shall be protected by strong guards to adequately protect all personnel working on or in the vicinity of the equipment. Where necessary, moving parts should be protected by guards supplied by the equipment manufacturer. All guards must be sttongly attached to equipment and be designed to be easily removed for access, servicing, adjustment and maintenance.
