In this research article, Berman touches on the topic of finding ways to detect early signs
of depression in adolescence. The point he is trying to get across is that it is not easy to
predict if a teen in suicidal because of the varying signs and degrees for each person
being tested.
Adam Berman is writing this article through an organization that fights against teen
suicide.
This source is a little bias in the way that it only looks at the self afflicted psychological
problems related to teen suicide. The goal of the source is to explain mental distress at
risk teens face.
This article relates to the Center of Disease controls article by providing information on
the different mental processes a suicidal teen goes through. It explains how someone
thinks and how to help stop the disruptive thought patterns. This source was helpful
because it goes into detail on what people are think when they go through this traumatic

Pediatrics Nationwide Research Institution, and published their findings on a government
funded website.
This source does not show signs of bias because it presents both sides of the argument
through facts and numerical proof, and by using the technical factors of teen suicide. The
goal of this source is to provide information on how one must understand, learn, and fight
against suicide in teens.
This source compares to Lewis First's article. They relate by both giving facts and
numbers in order to give scientific evidence behind the rising numbers of teens with
suicidal incidents. It was very helpful in providing a numerical and factual value in how
many people suicide affects.

This source has a slight side of bias because it is written in a kids website used by parents to
help their child. Its a protective article that teaches parents how to guard their child from the
suicide factors and risks.

to provide a shield for their children from suicide and depression related to suicide. This
article was helpful because it gives helpful tips into shutting down the beginning of suicidal
thoughts, if caught early enough.
